🌍 On March 10th, we were proud to kick off a new edition of our OneStepForward mentoring program in Luxembourg, in collaboration with BGL BNP Paribas, the University of Luxembourg, and powered by SINGA Luxembourg.
This initiative connects refugee students with professionals from the banking sector, fostering inclusion, career development, and meaningful exchange.
This year's kick-off event brought together mentors and mentees from diverse professional and academic backgrounds, creating a first space for connection and dialogue. Throughout the evening, participants had the opportunity to:
🤝 meet their mentor or mentee counterparts through a dynamic speed mentoring session
🧭 learn more about the upcoming steps of the program
💬 exchange on key themes such as academic and professional journeys, change, and sense of belonging
The session also introduced two complementary mentoring initiatives. The ADVANCE program that supports women researchers at the University of Luxembourg at different career stages; and the Twin a Nurse initiative which provides tailored guidance to students in healthcare fields facing workforce shortages.
Thanks to our speakers :
• Andy Adams – Alumni Relations Specialist Uni.lu Alumni Network | University of Luxembourg
• Inês Crisóstomo – Mentoring Program Coordinator
• Marie Friedel – Professor Nursing Sciences
• Samuel Majerus – Co-Founder Bright asbl
• Claire Iversenc – Heard of CSR BGL BNP Paribas
• Faustine Caron – Head of operation SINGA
🚀 The evening concluded with an informal networking moment, reflecting the energy and engagement of this new cohort. We are confident that meaningful connections and great achievements lie ahead.
