SINGA, WHAT IS IT?
At SINGA Luxembourg, we have been defending a simple and powerful idea for 5 years: when a society opens up to migration, it strengthens itself. Since our creation in 2020, we have been helping exiled people to rediscover their potential, build their network and fully integrate into their new host society.
By facilitating encounters between new arrivals (refugees, asylum seekers) and locals, SINGA Luxembourg builds a supportive and inclusive community every day. We organise a variety of activities - cultural, sporting, environmental - to enable everyone to create valuable links and contribute their own unique touch.
In figures:
-
👥 4000+ people have taken part in our activities since 2019.
-
🤝 400+ beneficiaries supported towards employment, with more than 50 having found work or undergone training (since 2024).
-
🌱 Dozens of inclusive activities a year in partnership with businesses, associations and volunteers.
Every donation makes a difference to continue these actions, and your support helps strengthen this mission of inclusion in Luxembourg.

WHY SUPPORT US?
Every donation to SINGA Luxembourg is a gesture of solidarity that is transformed into concrete actions for the inclusion of newcomers. Here is how your support helps change lives:
-
Professional support and fight against downgrading:
By supporting SINGA, you are helping hundreds of refugees a year (30% of whom are women) to regain professional stability. Through workshops, information sessions and role-playing, our beneficiaries learn essential skills and are supported in their job search.
-
Building Connections and Reducing Isolation:
Our activities, such as world cuisine workshops, the SINGA CUP (football) and language exchanges (Pick&Speak), aim to break down isolation while bringing newcomers and locals together. By creating meeting places, we promote social cohesion and help to make Luxembourg a caring society where everyone is welcomed and valued.
-
Awareness and change of perspective:
SINGA Luxembourg fights for a fairer and more positive perception of migration. By raising awareness about the journeys of newcomers, we encourage a vision where migration is seen as an asset and not as a threat. Each donation reinforces this message and helps us reach more people.
Testimonials from our beneficiaries
The floor is given to those who experience this inclusion on a daily basis:
"I arrived in Luxembourg 15 months ago and went through a period of great uncertainty, first under the Dublin procedure, then transferred to Strassen after a break. That's where I discovered SINGA Luxembourg. Their team welcomed me, listened to me and supported me. With their help, I was able to create several CVs adapted to my experiences and apply in various fields, including on the EURES platform, since I was not registered with ADEM.
Thanks to their advice, I sent more than 50 applications and found an interested employer after a successful trial. With the help of SINGA, the procedure for obtaining my AOT went quickly, despite my boss's concerns. Today, I work serenely and am grateful to SINGA, which supports newcomers in their efforts to find a job and start a new life. - Claude, Cameroonian, restaurant dishwasher.
"I would like to express my deep gratitude to the SINGA association for their invaluable support in my integration process in Luxembourg. From the first day, I felt welcomed and accompanied, and every step of this journey was made easier thanks to their dedication and commitment.
Through their programs and activities, I found not only the support I needed to adapt to my new life, but also a warm community that gave me the confidence and tools to evolve and move forward. Thank you, SINGA, for making me feel at home and reminding me that integration is possible with the right support." - Alexandra, restaurant dishwasher." - Alexandra, Colombian, maintenance worker.
" The first time I heard about SINGA was through the social worker at the shelter, and it seemed like a good place for me and me and my friends took part in an activity. We met Jimmy and he welcomed us very warmly. The first time I took part in a game in English with Kateryna and Joanna, it was very informative and a lot of fun, after that I started to take part in all the activities and I met very nice people among the asylum seekers and locals.
When I decided to work, I came to the office and prepared a quality resume to apply for jobs. After participating in a training on how to apply for a job with Mathieu, I thank you all for finding a job and I have been working for 7 months now." - Yilmaz, Kurdish, restaurant server.
A future challenge for 2025
In 2025, our mission of inclusion becomes more crucial than ever. With the intensification of migrations, exacerbated by climate change and global conflicts, SINGA Luxembourg wants to offer a humane and sustainable response to these challenges.
Our vision for 2025:
Making Luxembourg a model of welcome and solidarity. We want to welcome more beneficiaries, increase the number of activities that bring new arrivals and locals together, and raise awareness among an ever-wider audience about the realities of migration.
With your support, SINGA Luxembourg can meet these challenges and transform even more lives.
